  1. Adult Winter Reading: 32 Degree Club

    The 32-Degree Adult Winter Reading Club challenges you to cozy up with a good book and log 32 days of reading between January 1 and February 28. Read 15 minutes or more for 32 days and receive a small prize. Read 10 books to enter the grand prize drawing for a gift card. Entries must be received and prizes must be claimed by Saturday, March 4 at 5 pm. Pick up a reading log beginning December 19.

  4. Virtual Calvin January Series: Reclaiming Curiosity in Divided Times, Monica Guzman

    Mónica Guzmán is a bridge builder, journalist, and entrepreneur who lives for great conversations sparked by curious questions. She’s a senior fellow for public practice at Braver Angels, the nation’s largest cross-partisan grassroots organization working to depolarize America. Guzmán also hosts a live interview series at Crosscut and co-founded the award-winning Seattle newsletter The Evergrey. Her book, I Never Thought of It That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times discusses the crisis of broken conversations among confounded people. It shows you how to overcome the fear and uncertainty that surrounds us to finally understand and learn from people in your life with different and opposing world views.     Teens ages 13-17 are invited to spend their afterschool time at the library. Each week we will have board games, video games, craft supplies, snacks, and more available to teens to enjoy. We will also have special craft days, movie days, and even pizza days. This is a drop-in program so no registration is required and teens may arrive/leave anytime during the program.
