Dear Georgetown Township Board:

The following activities were successfully completed at the Georgetown Township Senior Center during the month of June, 2007:

Education and Health:

·        Blood Pressure Screen with Judy Boven, R.N. from Oak Crest Manors - 29 participants

·        Trim Class for weight management – 90 participants

·        Exercise Class with Fitness Instructor Cathy Walker – 95 participants

·        Yoga & Pilates – 60 participants

·        PATH Class – 54 participants

 

Nutritional Services:

·        Total meals provided for Georgetown Township Seniors – 249 at center, 217 home delivered

·        Commodities – 43 recipients

·        Transportation to Meijer for grocery shopping – 50 participants

·        Family Fare – 3 participants

 

Trips:

·        Lunch Bunch to Mangiamo’s – 24 participants

·        Jam Nite – 17 participants

·        Bach Lunch – 10 participants

·        Whitecaps  – 14

·        Civic Theatre “One flew over the Cuckoos Nest” – 22 participants

·        Shipshewanna- 16 participants

·        Celery City Talent Show – 10 participants

·        Zeeland Hospital Memory seminar – 13 participants

·        Rockford shopping – 19 participants

·        Hansel & Gretel – 12 participants

·        Mocha Music – 10 participants

 

Spiritual Services:

·        Bible Study: led by different local Pastors each week – 189 participants

 

Special Events:

·        Monthly Potluck - 44 participants

·        Breakfast Bingo – 35 participants

 

 

 

 

Social and Recreational:

·        Watercolor Class - 14 participants

·        Quilting – 12 participants

·        Cards - 36 participants

·        Pool Players – 47 participants

·        Ping Pong – 10 participants

·        BUNCO Players – 32 participants

·        Therapeutic Recreation Group – 40 participants

 

Georgetown Township Transportation – Ottawa County Specialized Services:

·        Total rides provided in June – 1,457

 

Total units of service provided by the Georgetown Senior Center program:  2,973
