MINUTES OF THE GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD MAY 10, 2007

The meeting was called to order by Bill Holland.

#070510-01 - Minutes of April 6, 2007

Moved by Bill Holland, seconded by Richard VanderKlok, to approve the minutes as presented.

#070510-02 - The proposed Board agenda for May 14, 2007 was reviewed and discussed.

#070510-03 - Establish a Fee for Sump Pump Discharge Inspection

Moved by Daniel Carlton, seconded by Richard VanderKlok, to recommend to the Board to approve the establishment of a fee of $50 for a sump pump discharge inspection to verify that the sump pump discharge system has been hooked up to the sump lateral if one is available (if none if available no fee would be charged)

Sec. 48-47. Sump pump discharge.

(1) Whenever building footing drains are required or utilized, a direct connection between the footing drains through a sump pump check valve system to a storm sewer is required. A gravity system is not permitted.

(2) A stormwater lateral shall be provided for each parcel at the time of storm sewer construction.

(3) The restrictive covenants shall state: "Laundry facilities or other similar features, installed in residential basements, that drain shall not be connected to a footing drain or sump pump system discharging to sump laterals and the storm sewer system. (They must be drained to the sewage disposal system.)"

Moved by Richard VanderKlok, seconded by Bill Holland, to recommend to the Township Board to approve the special assessment amount of $171.60 for the Rushmore Lake Special Assessment district for 2007

#070510-05 - 2007 Special Assessments for Sunnyview Lake

Moved by Richard VanderKlok, seconded by Bill Holland, to recommend to the Township Board to approve the special assessment amount of $92.10 for the Sunnyview Lake Special Assessment district for 2007

#070510-06 – Prime Coat Township Office and Library Parking Lots

Moved by Bill Holland, seconded by Richard VanderKlok, to recommend to the Township Board to approve accepting the bid from PrimeCote Inc. to seal-coating and re-striping the parking lots for the Township Office and Library for an amount not to exceed $5000

#070510-07 – Prepare Ground and Reseed Rosewood Park

Moved by Bill Holland, seconded by Richard VanderKlok, to recommend to the Township Board to approve accepting the bid from Precision Landscapes, LLC to prepare the ground and reseed Rosewood Park for $10,350.00

The Finance Committee made the recommendation to the Board because action must be taken now rather than waiting until the next Services Committee meeting to make a recommendation for the next Board meeting which is June 11, 2007
