DPW DEPARTMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

Several projects are being addressed this year.

 

  1. Resurface Chicago Drive east bound and west bound from the City of Hudsonville limits to Main Street

 

  1. Widening of Baldwin Street from 20th Avenue to 28th Avenue

 

  1. Watermain, widening and sewer work on Baldwin from Cottonwood to Grandville Treatment Plant

 

  • Cross connection inspections

 

  • New license plates were purchased and installed on all DPW vehicles

 

  • Applications were taken to replace a meter reader who is leaving for another job

 

  • Our annual meeting was held with our DEQ engineer and a couple of issues need to be addressed

 

Ø      4 hydrants were struck by auto’s

Ø      3 watermain breaks

Ø      3 new service connections

Ø      8 new water meter installations

Ø      66 new homes under construction

Ø      14 water service repairs

Ø      38 final readings of water meters for home sales
