2007 FEBRUARY REPORT

DPW DEPARTMENT

 

 

  1. The new 2007 DPW pickup truck has been delivered.  It arrived two weeks early.

 

  1. 113 cross connections were accomplished with several corrections to be made and numerous tests to be done.

 

  1. 5 new grease traps inspected with 3 corrections to be made.

 

  1. Three personnel attended the Joint Exp. In Lansing.

 

  1. The following are a list of projects to be accomplished for the year of 2007.

 

    • Hydrant painting program
    • Valve exercise program
    • Cul-de-sac flushing program
    • Bauer elevated tank cleaning
    • Inter connect and dead-end flushing
    • Two lift station upgrades

 

  1. Two fire hydrants were struck in auto accidents in February.

 

  1. There was one service leak in February.

 

  1. Enclosed is the annual report for 2006.

 

Ø      3 new sewer connections

Ø      10 new water meter installations

Ø      65 new homes under construction

Ø      6 water service repairs

Ø      23 final readings of water meters for home sales
