SERVICE COMMITTEE

February 22, 2007

1. Call to order: 7:30 AM

2. Roll Call: Present, M. Van Someren, R. Vander Klok, D. South

3. Approval of minutes of December 18, 2006. January 2007 meeting was cancelled and posted as cancelled.

Motion to approve December 18, 2006 minutes as present by M. Van Someren

Seconded: R. Vander Klok

Motion carried.

4. Request for equipment and software by the Georgetown Seniors.

Motion: By M. Van Someren to Recommend to the Township Board that the

Senior Center Director, seek bids for computers and software, under the

Federal Grant received and to included yearly maintenance fees and warranty.

Seconded: D. South

Motion carried.

5. Request access by patrons to the internet at the Library.

Motion: By M. Van Someren to recommend to the Township Board that the

Library Director, implement the internet access, with users comments to

be tracked for 90 days and submit the comments to the Service

Committee for recommendations for policy review and for hours of use and any additional recommendations.

Seconded: R. Vander Klok

Motion carried.

6. Information:

The Township has requested a Company to provide us information on a portable camera for use in our parks because of damage to the parks equipment. Cost is a factor and if possible is information requested.
