SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 19, 2005

 

1.            Call to order by Chair R. J. Poel, at 7:30 AM

 

2.            Roll Call, Richard VanderKlok, Del South, R. J. Poel.

 

3.            Guests:  Fire Chief, Dan Haming, Parks Director Rod Deemter, John Nienhuis, Code Enforcer, Dick Kennedy.

 

4.            Motion By South, Supported by VanderKlok to approve the minutes of August 15th, 2005, Carried

 

5.            Recommendation of Fire Chief for the following promotions, Lt. Dan Grzegorski to the rank of Captian at station No. 3, Firefighter Gary Danielson to the rank of Lieutenant at station No. 3 Motion by South, seconded by VanderKlok to approve, Carried, Note, Both applicants were from station No. 3.

 

6.            Recommendation by Parks Director to amend the Sec 18-17 (d), No 1 and No.3 Headstone size. From 24 inches x 12 Inches x 6 inches to 30 inches x 12 inches x 6 inches for double graves.. Also No3. adjacent (double) graves should read up to 36 inches x 12 inches x 16 inches and not 6 inches as printed in the ordinance, possible typing error..  Motion by South Seconded by VanderKlok to approve. Carried.  Changes to be advertised when other ordinances are reviewed. 

 

7.            Motion to give Georgetown Rangers preliminary approval for a Soccer Tournament in the year 2006.  Committee request Rangers to provide parking information, when scheduling teams and the liability clause to be used in the brochure, which will hold the Township harmless. Motion by South Seconded by VanderKlok, to approve, Carried.
