Minutes of the regular meeting of the Georgetown Township Planning Commission, held Wednesday, March 19, 2003

 

Meeting called to order by Chairman Honderd at 7:30 p.m.

Present:            Jansma, South, Huizinga, DeGood, Stasiak, Poskey, Honderd

Absent: none

 

#030319-01 - Agenda for March 19, 2003

 

Moved by Jansma, seconded by DeGood, to approve the agenda for March 19, 2003, as presented.

#030319-02 - Minutes of the February 19, 2003 regular meeting and the March 5,

2003 work session meeting

 

Moved by Jansma, seconded by DeGood, to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2003 regular meeting, as submitted.

Moved by DeGood, seconded by South, to approve the minutes of the March 5, 2003 work session meeting, as submitted.

#030319-03 – Site Plan (ST0303) Georgetown Ice Arena-8500 48th Ave.

 

Jim Holtvluwer, Township Supervisor and member of the Building Committee, presented the request.  He stated that the northern driveway on 48th Ave. had been eliminated and that resulted in three additional parking spaces.  He said that the bypass lane on 48th Ave. had been shortened and the one on Bauer Rd. would not be installed.  He said that the exterior lights in the rear of the building were shown on the interior light plan and would be all downward directed.

 

Moved by Jansma, seconded by South, to approve the site plan dated revised 3-17-03 and received 3-18-03, as submitted.

#030319-04 - Presentation by Mark Knudsen, Ottawa County Planning and Grants

 

Mark Knudsen, Ottawa County Planning and Grants, gave a presentation regarding information and programs the County has available for local Planning Commissions.  He said that he would be the liaison between the County and the Georgetown Township Planning Commission.

 

Corny VanderKam, County Commission was present also.
