Tentatively Adopt the 2017 Budget and Schedule a Public Hearing



Motion: To approve the resolution (with tentative budget) to tentatively adopt the 2018 Budget and to schedule a public hearing for September 11, 2017.

Note 2018 Budget Highlights:

3 Elections for 2018 for an estimated cost of 254,500.

Battery Operated Extraction Tool for Fire Department 50,000.

Resurfacing streets is increased to 1,500,000 from 1,000,000.

Painting/Repair two water Towers 618,000.

Water Pumping Station Generator 200,000, to protect supply of water during power failures.

Unfinished Business - Sidewalk Installation on Edson and 18th Ave.



Motion: To remove the item from the table (tabled July 24, 2017 and referred back to the Utilities Committee).  

Motion: To require the installation of sidewalk on the west side of 18th Ave. from 44th St. to Edson Dr., both sides of Edson Dr. from 18th Ave. to 22nd Ave. (excluding the properties where sidewalk is already installed) and on the north side of 22nd Ave. from the current ending point to Edson Dr., as initially recommended by the Utilities Committee and as unanimously re-confirmed by the Utilities Committee at the August 14, 2017 meeting.

Initiate the Installation of Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer on Edson



Motion:           To initiate the installation of sanitary sewer and storm sewer on Edson Dr., from 22nd Ave. east to the gas line, with the property owner’s option to have sidewalk installed at the same time by the Township as part of the project, if the property owner agrees to accept an assessment for all improvements.  The assessment is eligible to be financed over 20 years at 3% interest, as recommended by the Utilities Committee.

Petition Drain Commissioner for Drain Relief on Acadia Dr.



Motion: To approve the petition and resolution for maintenance and improvements to a drain, as recommended by the Utilities Committee.
