Joe Byker, 2905 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, is requesting rezoning from (HDR) High Density Residential to (PUD) and requesting preliminary planned unit development approval (and final development approval for two phases), for condominiums and dwelling units, along with various amenities, on parcels of land described as: 70-14-26-100-050, 6087 14th Avenue; 70-14-26-300-042; 70-14-26-400-069; 70-14-26-276-000; 70-14-26-400-070; 70-14-26-400-071; 70-14-26-200-069; 70-14-26-400-073; 70-14-26-400-059; 70-14-26-400-024; 70-14-26-400-048; 70-14-26-400-047; 70-14-26-400-072; located north of Parsons and west of 8thAve., Georgetown Township, Ottawa County, Michigan.

Motion: To open (and close) the public hearing.

Approval of the layout of the Preliminary Plat of Alward Estates West No. 3

to adopt the staff report as finding of fact and to grant tentative preliminary plat approval of the Preliminary Plat of Alward Estates West No. 3, P.P. # 70-14-20-300-093, 6510 40th Ave.; P.P. # 70-14-20-300-002, 6750 40th Ave.; and P.P. # 70-14-20-300-097, 6800 40th Ave.; Georgetown Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, as shown on the drawing dated 3-20-2017, and with the following conditions:

1)     Building envelopes appear to meet ordinance requirements, but will be reviewed for exactness at the time a building permit application is submitted.

2)     Sidewalks will be provided in the interior of the plat by the individual property owner at the time a house is constructed. 

3)     The plan shows two lots on 40th Ave. that appear to be excluded from the plat.  If that is the case, if possible, provide a signed letter from the developer stating that 60 feet of right-of-way from the centerline of 40th Ave. will be deeded to the Township from the two lots and that the developer will provide sidewalks as per Township specifications along 40th Ave. for the two lots at the time the streets for the plat are constructed.

4)     All fees, including deferred assessments, shall be paid prior to the issuance of any building permits.

Motion: To approve the Resolution Establishing Surcharge Fees, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

Receive Application for Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate Application (Act 198) from Stevens Design and Fabrication, 6655 Center Industrial Dr., Jenison, MI, 49428, P.P. # 70-14-22-349-007.



Motion: To
approve the following resolution to receive an application for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate and to tentatively schedule a public hearing for July 24, 2017, as recommended by the Finance Committee:

RECEIVING STEVENS DESIGN & FABRICATION, INC.

6655 CENTER INDUSTRIAL DR. CERTIFICATE APPLICATION (ACT 198)

            Whereas, Stevens Design and Fabrication Inc., has submitted an application for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate; and

            Whereas, the Township Board of Georgetown Township must approve or disapprove said application in accordance to Act 198 of 1974; and

            Whereas, section 5 of Act 198 of 1974 requires the hearing of opinion from the applicant, the assessor and the affected taxing units.

            BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held July 24, 2017 to hear public opinion concerning said application.

Motion: To approve the resolution for the liquor license for GNL Group, 3627 Baldwin, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

Resurfacing Plan for 200 Chicago Dr.



Motion: to approve the resurfacing of the pavement at 200 Chicago Dr.  T The area to be resurfaced is the entrance off Chicago Dr. and the cross easement from the west side of KFC to the east side of Taco Bell with the restaurants to pay $10,000 each and the Township to pay the remainder, as recommended by the Finance Committee.
