Approval to appoint D. Dale Mohr as an alternated to the Zoning Board of Appeals, to fulfill the term of Kendall Grable (who was appointed as a full time member to replace Kelly Walkotten), with the term to expire December 31, 2018, as recommended by the Supervisor.

To grant tentative preliminary plat approval of the layout of the Preliminary Plat of Summerset South No. 2, P.P. # 70-14-36-100-039, 70-14-36-100-003, 70-14-25-300-024 and 70-14-25-300-025, located at 5668 and 5700 8th Ave., Georgetown Township, Ottawa County, Michigan

As recommended by the Planning Commission, as shown on the drawing dated 3/14/2017, based on the findings that the applicable standards of the ordinance are met.

And to accept the developer’s proposal for sidewalks as follows:

  1. To have the homeowners place sidewalks adjacent to the streets for all lots at the time of construction;
  2. To place sidewalk on 8th Ave. through deed restrictions on the proposed Parcels A, B, C and D;
  3. To place sidewalk/wider path only on the north side of Stonebridge Dr. beginning at the intersection of Stonebridge Dr. and the private streets to 8th Ave.;
  4. To place sidewalks on the north and south side of Stonebridge Dr. between lot 47 and 48 and the intersection of Stonebridge Dr. and the private street for the condos;
  5. {But to NOT require the placement of sidewalks on the north side of the private streets for the condo development (and not the south side)}.


With the following conditions:

  1. Building envelopes appear to meet ordinance requirements, but will be reviewed for exactness at the time a building permit application is submitted. 
  2. Although language on the plan indicates there are “Parcel A, B, C and D,” no land splits have been approved for that property and no approval for these splits shall be implied by approval of the preliminary plat.
  3. Although the plan shows the condo development, no approval is implied for that development by the approval of the preliminary plat (other than for the sidewalk location);
  4. Sign permits are required for all signs and all signs shall meet ordinance requirements.  Some formal instruments shall be required to maintain any signs if installed.
  5. The homeowners association shall maintain the park area.
  6. All fees, including deferred assessments, shall be paid prior to the submission of any building permits.
